At My Reader’s Request – Facebook!

April 17th, 2011

I have actually opened a Facebook account for The Real Costa Rica web site.

It has no friends. Nobody Likes it… Yet!

Can someone please go a Like it?

    I recommend you put the standard box in the top right of your website, to the left of your picture. That way it will be one of the first things people see, and it’s much better there than at the bottom, assuming you want people to actually “like” it on facebook.

    Correction: to the right of your picture, in the top-right section of the homepage, above the fold.

    *Liked* and WP has nifty plug-ins so we can “like” individual posts too. FB is a great way to drive traffic! You should see a nice bump. Glad you are writing more here. Keep it up.

    Now that you have the 25 required friends, you can set your FB page with your name, facebook.com/TheRealCostaRica for SE purposes. 😉

    I FINALLY signed up to Facebook – AND my husband and I really want to visit Costa Rica. I will sign in today and “Like” your site. As much as I am not real comfortable with Facebook, it is definitely a necessity in today’s marketing. So I’ll give you a good “push!” 🙂 Kath

    Kathy (my wife, who wrote you a few minutes ago) told me about your blog. also about the face book page. She just got me on to face book so I’m not that active yet but still went to your Costa Rica page and liked it. We definitely want to visit and hope to do so as soon as we can get there. thanks for your information.
